Creative Director

CANOE Studio is looking for a Creative Director.

Our team works on a variety of animated and game projects, and we are currently searching for a Creative Director — a director who can oversee the project through all stages, from concept and storyboarding to final editing. We’re looking for a professional with a strong sense of storytelling, creative vision, and the ability to work with the production team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Lead the development of animated projects. Create storyboards and work with the storyboard team.
Develop and oversee 2D/3D animatics to evaluate pacing, rhythm, and dramatic structure.
Provide directorial feedback and revisions to animators, artists, and editors.
Participate in script development and offer visual and dramatic solutions.
Ensure the consistency of the story, pacing, visual style, and emotional expression.
Collaborate closely with the producer, art director, and the production team.
Oversee the entire production process from a directorial standpoint.

WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO US:

Experience as a director, storyboard artist, or similar role.
Strong understanding of editing principles, composition, and visual storytelling.
Proficiency in storyboarding.
Ability to create 2D/3D animatics.
Good sense of rhythm, pacing, and dramatic structure.
Ability to clearly communicate ideas to the team.
A portfolio with examples of storyboards, animatics, and/or final scenes under your direction.

NICE TO HAVE:

You have experience with series or short films.
You’ve worked with an international team.
You have artistic skills (such as concept art, character design, etc.).
You have experience with 3D animation.
You have experience with Unreal Engine.
You have experience with AI.
